Blended Learning: Emergency First Aid Course
Brampton First Aid CPRโs Blended Training Program combines the flexibility of online learning with the effectiveness of in-class instruction. This format allows participants to complete a portion of the course content online, which can be done at their own pace, before attending the in-class session.
- Online Training: Approximately 3 hours of self-paced online learning, which must be completed prior to the in-class session.
- In-Class Training: 5 hours of hands-on, instructor-led training focused on skill development and the practical application of learned theory.
Course Requirements:
- Completion of Online Modules: Participants must finish the online portion before attending the in-class training.
- Mandatory In-Class Session: The in-class component will focus on applying learned concepts through practical exercises and scenario-based training.
This blended learning format allows for a flexible, efficient, and comprehensive learning experience, ensuring participants are well-prepared for emergency situations.
Blended Course Process
Blended Learning Course: Important Details and Policies
Online Access:
After registration, participants will receive online access to the course content via email within 1 business day from the Canadian Red Cross. The link will allow you to start the self-paced online training.
- Online Training Duration: Approximately 3 hours of self-paced online learning.
- Completion Timeline: The online portion must be completed before attending the in-class session and cannot be finished more than 30 days before your scheduled in-class date. In some cases, participants may be required to retake the online course (administrative fees may apply).
In-Class Requirements:
- Participants must complete the online portion before the in-class session.
- Failure to Complete: Participants who do not finish the online training before the class start date will not be eligible to attend the in-class session, and no refunds or transfers will be granted.
- Final Booking: Once online access is granted, all bookings are considered final.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
- Changes or Rescheduling: Must be made more than 2days before the course start date.
- Administrative Fee: A $45.00 + HST administrative fee applies to cancellations or rescheduling.
Certification:
- Completion Certificate: Participants must bring a printed or digital copy of their online completion certificate to the in-class session for instructor verification.
