Levels of CPR Training

Here are the headings for the CPR levels:

BLS: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers – Advanced Level

Level A: Basic Life Support for the Community

Level B: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

Level C: Comprehensive CPR for Healthcare Providers

IIn CPR training, participants are taught the proper procedures for performing CPR and the critical points to remember. CPR training can be a requirement for workplaces, schools, or specific professional roles. At Brampton First Aid CPR, our goal is to provide our clients with the accurate and essential information they need to meet their CPR certification requirements and ensure safety in their environments.

CPR Level

Target Audience: Lay rescuers and individuals seeking basic CPR knowledge.

Content: Covers CPR and choking procedures for adults, with a focus on early defibrillation.

Duration: Approximately 4 hours.

Offered By: Canadian Red Cross.

Important Note: CPR Level A is an introductory course, ideal for the general public, especially those in workplaces or schools where basic CPR skills are needed.

CPR Level B

Target Audience: Babysitters, nannies, and those working with infants and children.

Content: Focuses on CPR for babies and children, including the use of an automated defibrillator for children

.Important Note: CPR Level B is a supplemental course to CPR Level A and does not cover adult treatment methods.

Alternative Courses: Heart and Stroke offers Heart saver CPR AED + Infant + Child for basic CPR training.

CPR Level B also includes instructions on how to use an automated defibrillator on children. It does not include adult treatment methods, and therefore is not a substitute but a supplement to the CPR Level A course. This course has been previously offered through Red Cross.

Heart and Stroke offers Heart saver CPR AED + Infant + Child which is also suitable for individuals interested in learning basic CPR training.

CPR Level C

Target Audience: Professionals who require comprehensive CPR training for adults, children, and infants.

Content: Covers all aspects of CPR skills and theory for adult, child, and infant CPR, including two-rescuer CPR skills

.Recommended For: Police, firefighters, lifeguards, and other first responders who need thorough CPR training for their work.

CPR Level C includes the following courses:

  1. Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (Red cross or Heart and Stroke Foundation)
  2. Heart saver CPR AED level C (Heart and Stroke Foundation)
  3. Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C (Red cross or Heart and Stroke Foundation)

CPR Level BLS

Level BLS course is designed for professional responders and healthcare professionals, which requires more advanced life support skills. The course provides Health Care Providers with skills to resTarget Audience: Healthcare professionals and first responders.

Content: Advanced life support skills for managing medical emergencies, including treatment for cardiac arrest and other critical condition’s

Recommended For: Doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other allied healthcare professionals.
